The senior pupils of Lucknow
Public School have been Very
busy lately. For the last month,
noon hour_basketballsarries have a
been under way with' many excit-
ing mornents: After a tremend-
ous battle the "Dirty Skunks" and
the "Dribblers" were the. champ-
ion boys' and girls' teams.,
Not to be left by the way, the
Grades 4 and 5 pupils are in the
middle of a floor hockey tourna
ment. There are four boys'
teams and two girls' teams. The
*sticks are still flying, •as a win--
ner has not yet been decided.

lace , who celebrated his 92nd
birthday on Sunday, April 9th. •
Larry, who never married,
lives with his brother John at
'Kingsbridge, He is enjoying
fairly good health and takes
an interest in corm-nullity
affairs. He was a guest of Mr.

dinner on. Sunday and later on

OBSERVED 80th' BIRTHDAYS
Two more senior citizens of
our Community celebrated birth-
days during the week. Mrs. Tim:-
othy Dwyer celebrated her 80th
birthday on Monday, April 3rd
and Gilbert Frayne was 80
years young on April 6th.
Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Frayne
who have resided in' Lucknow for
the winter months returned to
their home on the week end.
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs.
Tom HOgan (Karla Riegling) on
the arrival of their first child, a
daughter, Rhonda Jane , on
Wednesday , April 5th at, the Wing-
ham and. District Hospital. This .
is a first grandchild for Mr: and
Mrs. Dennis Hogan.
Mrs..John Howard and Jeannet-
te , Mrs. John Austin and Joe,
spent the ;week end in. Toronto.
Jeannette and Joe were guests at
the -Avion -Hotel, -Malton- on-Sat -
urday and Sunday, where about

all over Ontario met to make
plans for the F9Zalee $ Union
Youth Exchange out West in July.

Collyer visited the school in his
Winter Holidays, He had a pleas-
