Many times Paul' wondered why he mus suffer so and prayed to God to have this thorn in his flesh remov- y- ed, but God's answer was, My Grace is sufficient for you. Ever one at some time passes through times of trial and we question Why? We have many problems making a liying, making ends -meet, conquering disease and grappling with the sin of the world., What should we do as trouble besets us OPe-v-erylialid? The lawyer spends 2/3 of his time adjusting legal troubles; the physician spends' most: of his time correcting physical troubles; the minister, spends 3/4 of his time dealing with mental, moral' and, spiritual troubles. As yet we have not discovered a solution NI the problems of suffering. We haVe discovered continents, riv- ers, islands of the world; secrets of steam, pOwer, electricity, invented the telephone, radio-: 'phone , conquered' land, sea and air. LOgtenberg and Mrs. J. Drennan, as committee lead- errs in "Christian and Missionary Education" , presented the ladies with information on Africa. Everyone sang "Kuin Ba Ya", Rev. C: McClenai,han showed a, film entitled "Focus on fAfrica". Discussion period fol- lowed, Rev.. McClenaghan play - ed a record of African music while the ladies gathered for the meeting and also during lunch. The roll call-was answered with "LnfOrmation on-Africa". Mrs. McClenaghan reported on the Presbyterial meeting at Strat- ford. World Day of Prayer will be held in the Presbyterian Church on March 3rd at 2 o'clock. Mrs. K. Dawson gave a reading on "The Gentle Art of Kissing". Rev. McClenaghan closed the meeting with prayer. A social -hour-folloWesiwith lunchho_stesses, being. Mrs. C. McClenaghan, Mrs. W. Presbyterian Evening Auxiliary The Lucknow Presbyterian Evening Auxiliary February meet- ing was held on the 15th at '8 p.m. in the Fellowship room of the Church with 15 ladies present. -Mrs:-Lloyd Moffat wa-s-in_the_Pies- ident's chair, and opened with a poerri. Posters .were displayed showing pictures of hOtnes., working habits and scenery in Africa; and -of statistics. of population, states, ntimber of Christians and the help' given by,. the Presbyterian Church in Can- - ada. • Mrs: -Mae-Lennan gave, a readL- ipg on "It is Sown", and Mrs. Collins the Offeratory prayer.
