insurance business,
Changes in the insurance act
will make this impOssible•in the
.futirre. . •
.The board of:directors will be
elected of the annual meeting
and will he in charge of the 'ad- •
ministration of company business,.
but: will not sell insurance. They
will, however, adjust company. •
•claims. '
.Actual selling of the insurance
will now be done by a group of
agents appointed by the coMpany
directors.
• As ofSepteMber RU of this year:
All selling agents must have a
general insurance licence. They
'may act. as a irec
pany until ,the first of January„
1973 ., but ,at that time must either.
resign as a director or selling
agent.
The Insurance and Corporations
Act now connsletely separate the
selling agenttand the directors of
the company.
It was suggested at the' meeting,
that after the separatiorl takes
place, the West Wawanosh Board,
of. Directors 'night be in a posi-
tron torawlnee-thei
six instead of the present nine.
Four.of the present board of
diaectors have suCcessfully passed
the examinations as insurance
agents. They are Donald Mac-
Kay, John MacLennan, Mason
Robinson and Delmar Sproul.
They will not be eligible as dir-
ectors next year if they chose to
follow the work as a selling agent,
Another section of the by-laws
revised was to increase. the fees
of directors to $25 per day and 124

$20 per'day and 100 per mile.
The president's allowance, in
addition to this, was increased to
$100 annually from the previous
figure of $50. :
The bonding of the treasurer
'by.-'law'
is' not 'to be less than $5000.. The
'treasurer in the West Wawanosh
Company is. bonded for $10,000.
