The contest had been. postponed from the previous Saturcla.y because of a storm: The chairman of the' contest was Robert Emerson; Deputy Reeve of the Township of Huron; the time-keepers were Mrs. Vida Wilfotd, Deputy Reeve of Port Elgin and Archie McKinnon,:• Reeve of Cultoss. The judges' were: Elmer Thompson, Kincar- -dine; Elmer' Black; Walkerton; John Mason, Port Elgin; with Paul Rux of Wiarton asking questions following the speeches. This question period is an innovation acided'to •the contest this year by . the Ontario Public School Trust- ees' AssOeiation and Ontario Hydro who are the provincial sponsors of the contest. The Bruce County- Council sponsors the county final and --offers aw-arci,s-to-eacla_ofilie_con- testants and prizes to the winners.
