The Olivet Unit of St. Andrews
United Church . Women met on •
Thursday afternoon-at the home of
Mrs. Elmer Osborne.
We are studying Africa at pres-
ent but. our Live- Love project is •
the teaching work of Miss Judith, ,
Dunlop in Japan, so we should be
' Mrs. Walter Black, assisted by
Mrs. Robert Osborne introduced
the study book on Africa. Mrs.
Stan Blackwell read a poem "Fair
Shares for Ali". The roll call ,
developed into. quite a discussion_
on showing prejudice.
Our unit has adopted the girl
in Korea formerly helped by the
Olivet Messengers., and it was
interesting to note that'this is
a tardily help plan and not for
one child only.

scripture and. Mrs; LeO Pedersen
led in prayer.
• Mrs. Gerald Coiling gave
courtesy remarks.

met on,Sunday, February 6, at
2.00 pan. We opened with a
prayer. Father Phelan and eleven
members were present.
We discussed plans for our card
party that is to be held this Fri-
day night. It was decided we
would go skating with Kingsbridge
Youth Club perhaps on Saturday.
19 in Blyth Arena. A social com-
mittee was formed with the'follow-
ing chosen, Marie Boyle, Cathy
Foran, Frank Foran. , -
We will be taking parr in the
Ecumenical Service on March.3.

Women held their January meet-
ing on' Tuesday afternoon at. 2
p.m.. it the home Of Mrs. Fred
Tiffin. Mrs. George Thompson:
in charge of Stewardship and
Recruiting led the worship'service.
The Scripture 'was read.by Mrs.
Russel-Chaprnan. Mrs. Thompson
led in prayer and gave a )
discussion on 'Zambia. The roll
call was answered by thirteen
ladies with a Bible verse with the
word Steward. Mrs. Thompson ,
closed this service with Priyer.
Mrs.. Karl De Koeijer demon-
strated making floWters with yarn,
The president Mrs. Milian Moore,
presided for the business. Arrange.
A minutes silence was observed
in memory of Mr.. W. Simpson
who had passed away since the
last Meeting. Following pray ,
er by Mr's. Johnston, hymn 278
was.sung.
Mrs. Sherwood gave the Bible
Study, reading from the 4th •
chapter of John "The Woman of
Samaria". Prayer was taken by
Mrs. Phillip SteWart. Mrs. Port-
eous gave the Miision Study of
Africa .show in• the difference in
Canada and Africa as to size ;pop-
ulation, languages, and the „
diffictilties they are experiencing'
independance.
Twenty-sevenanswered the roll
call, and there were several vis-
itors, the.roll call being answer-
ed by the name of a place in the
Holy Land.. Correspondence con-
sisted of two thank you- notes from
bereaved families.
Mrs. Jas. Smith gave the' high-
lights of the Presbyterial Annual
meeting held in.Wirigharn. Mrs.'
Morgan Henderson read the letter
from the Supply secretary giving
the supply allocation for 1972
which is $52.00. Mrs: Jas. Little
gave the Glad Tidings review, '
and Mrs.. M. Henderion read the
poem "Give your Best". 'Mrs. R.
Reid closed the meeting with
prayer. Tea. was,served fter-
the meeting and a social time
was enjoyed..
