his chin. ,
Mrs. Louis (Jeanne) Blake,
Bitissels fell at hOme and fractured
her left ankle. She was admitted
to hospital.
Russell Jones, age 15, Wingham
lacerated his right leg' February
3 While helping push a car out of
snow.
Jane Vath, age 11, Wingharrr,
daughter 'of and Mrs. Peter
Vath, while riding on a snowmo-.
bile, was in collision with .a car
on Riverview Road, Wingham.
She wad admitted to hospital with
a fractured knee cap. Wingham,
Town Police-, E. baer-investigat-
ed.
Marion Willie , age 19, Wng-
ham, was a passenger in a car ,
driven by Len Hatt , travelling
North of• Wingham on Highway
#4, four miles North of Teeswat-
er on February , 5. They were
meeting a truck when. a chunk of
ice fell off the truck and went
through the windshield of the car.
Miss Willie received deep lacera-
tions to her scalp and right band.
She was treated and later releas-
ed. Wingham McKit-
trick investigated.
A multi car accident due to the
storm occurred February 5' 1/2
mile East of Wingham on Highway
#86, A car driven by Jamp Pol-
and was driving East on Highway
86 and swerved to. avoid hitting '
a car stuck 'in the snow. It was
struck .in the rear by another car.
Two passengers were treated: Ms.
Derrnott (Phyllis) O'Reilly., age
22, Kincardine was a passenger
in the Poland car. 'She received
lower back* injuries and was treat-
ed and released. • The second car
was apparently driven by Robert
Shepherd, St. Catharines. His
wife Jan was examined and re-
leased. Wingham Q.P.P. McKit-
trit:k investigated.
wt. Kenneth ('Dawn) White,
Brussels, age 32,, was driving a
snowmobile down a hill and
received .,a severe shock when the
machine landed and the patient'.
rolled off. The accident happen-
ed on the 6th Concession of Morris
Township. She was admitted to
hospital with lower back injuries.
Wingham O.P.P. Balzer investig-
ated.
Mrs. William E. Andrew of
Ashfield returned last week from
a three week visit with Rev. and •
Mrs. Donald Stroh (Louise Andrew)-
of Torbay R.oad., St. Johns,
Newfoundland.
On Sunday, January 30th, she
attended the baptism p1 her
grands.on, Andrew George Stroh
in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran
Church as proxy for the Godpar-
ents, Russell Stroh of Conestogo
and Mary Andrew of London who
were unable to be present'.
Mrs. Andrew, reporis the scenery
in and around St. Johns as very.
beautiful. The weather. was
spring-like with' plenty of, warm
sun every day. The people really
go Out of their way to give visitors
a good time. The Latvian Ladies
of Don's congregation had two
afternoon teas for Mrs. Andrew
and she was taken to the Arts and
Culture Centre to a concert one
evening. They also took her for
scenic &Wes and for a tour of
Confederation Building, The New-
foundland Parliament Buildings.

William Craig, R. R.-2, -
Blyth, fell on ice January 31 and
fractured some ribs.
David Pletch, age 9, Belgrave,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Pletch,
fell on ice-and fractured his left
arm. He was admitted to hospital
for treatment.
Mrs. Gladys Adams fell at her
daughter's:home and dislocated
her left shoulder.
Ethel, fell on ice' on the Main
Street of Brussels February 1
and fractured her left wrist. „
Mis; Stella Clark, Brussels',
fell on ice in Brussels February-1
and fractured her right wrist and
injured some •ribs. She was ad-
mitted to hospital.
