The awards were not for speak-
ing, but, were fdi proficiency in
.poetry and essay writing by the•
two young*PeOple, both students
at Lucknow, Central Public School,
Sandra placed first in the Luck-
now. Legion Rerrie'mbrance Day
poetry competition and Stanley
placed first 'lithe local Remem-
brance Day essay competition,
The. two winning submissions
were entered in the Legion Zone
C-1 competition which includes
thirteen: Legion Branches. Botha
placed' Second in this competition
and zone Legion officials had high
praise 'for the submissions and for
the Lucknow Legion branch for
sponsoring two entries which were
regarded highly.
Sandra is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Bob Finlay of Luckriow •
and ,Stanley is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Austin Labree, alSo of the
village.
