Mrs. Ivan Pollock. Also Allan•
MacDonald of Ripley is a patient
in Victoria Hospital in London.

Our therne for January is "Win:-
ter Fun". We have been busy
making.a wall panel showing 'pic-
tures of having fun sleighing, ski-
ing, skating and building "snow-
men, n' We have painted most• of,
the pictures. Our songs and fing-
er ,plays are about snow and snow-
men.
-Also this month we have started
to learn our sounds and what our
numbers mean.
GRADE 5
Last week we were fold that we'
have to have Speeches ready in
two weeks.' Many of.the grade
fives wrote such good speeches it
is going to be difficult for Miss
Webb to plek out the top two.
We would like to mention some
of the best speeches: Kathryn
McKim ‘wrote 'on her trip last
March t6 the Barbados; Kathy •
Brooks chose Winter Sports; Etta -
Belle MacDonald is telling us „
about her trip last Suinrrierto
Algonquin Park; Jimmy Clark
gave an account of the life of
Walt Disney; Glenda Jamieson
described the trip she had. to
Prince Edward Island in the slim-
