what is so rare.aS a day in Jan-.

---Thus could we speak of.the

ndrew's Presbyterian” Church,
higharn, On January
1972, under the very capable
nd inspiring leadership of
resident, Mrs. Alvin Mundell,
elmore, the theme being, "One
Christ"'. •
The morning session was off to
warm, friendly start before
a.m... with coffee, followed
Call to Worship and the lnvo-

the fact that prayer is our

est speaker, Mrs. E. Harbottle
o was introduced by Mrs. E.
Beard, Wingham , as a teacher
and wife of a missionary who has
spent twenty years in Africes
Sudan Interior Mission, and who
is now home on furlough and liv-
ing in Molesworth. The use of
slides and an attractive display
of articles from that land ComP-
lementeci her vivid and humorous
deScriptions of personal exper-
iences and varied events, Easily -
discernible is the fact that'these
people (the Missionaries) are non-
materialistic individuals., sacrifie.
al , hard -working , patient and
thankful for small blessings.
Wouldn't Working for eighteen
,years before having any ptisms
be somewhat discouraging? Would
114 degrees of heat in.the• shade
take a-lot of getting used to? How
many of tit would enjoy taking
sixteen left-over children from a
Mission Schocil into our homes to
iive with us for eighteen months?
Could we stand the emotiona,1
problems of having our young
children sent off to boarding
-school six hundred miles away?
Is it any wonder Mrs. Harbottle
asks us when we pray for the mist,
sibnaries to pray fortheft -Child--
ren too? Think on these things!.
As important coming events
the president announced the
Synodical• for April 11 and 12 in
Eiskine. Church, Hamilton, as
well as the Preby.terial in. May
at Bluevale.
UV9n receiving the offering,
the dedicatory prayer was ,giVen

which Rey. •J. Weir, Kincardine,
