About 8 a.m. a lightning bolt stripped the side off a tree and the bark off another tree just near the camper. Electrical power had been secured frorn,a drive shed • nearby and the cord, leading into the camper, was melted as was a reading lamp at tile head of the bed n the camp r. piece o the trailer was also damaged by the lightning. The four .rnembers of the Stew- art family in the camper were not injured. In the Stewart farm house, damage was also apparent. The door was blown off the fuse box' and fuses were blown. A light was burned out in the house and the yard light shattered. A lawn. chair , sitting beneath the trees. which were struck, was left in threads.
