• Donald Henry McPherson of IRR;
R. 3 Holyrood passed away in.
*Wingham and District .Hospita l
'on Monday, June 7th in his 73rd'
year. He was the eldest son of
the late `'Murdock McPherson and,
'Mary Jane Harris and'.ws►s, born
August 17 ,-18.,98, on the 8th.Con
cession of -Kinloss. He wad a•
farmer and spent his lifetime in
Kinloss on the family farm, along
with his two brothers, Gordon and ,
Wesley, who survive.: Donald •got•
his public school education:at
Holyrood.and served as the areas-
user Of the school board there for..
many years.•
"Donnie"'as he was affection-
ately known by his many friends,
spent sixteen months, prior to his''
death-, in-hospital—In-April 1970
he had a leg amputated yin 'Wing-
ham ,Hospital.' A'month later he' •.
had surgery in Victoria' Hospital;: .
Lohdon and was again hospitalized,
in Wrngham until his death last
Monday. . He .bore his illness and

suffering, with grOt`patience and
courage. '.Donnie was always
cheerful and•good natured and
even thdugh he:coudn't speak
during his -last .few. months of •ill-. ;
