HRISTAL ELLIS GOSSEL
_The community was saddTled
on Sunday, November 15, 1970 ,
when word was received of the
sudden passing in: Kincardine Gen.
eral Hospital of a highly.respected
citizen., Christal Ellis Gossel of
Ripley, .twodays after his seventy,
first birthday. Son of the late
Christal. Gossel, and Margaret Mc
Avoy, he was the youngest and
last'surviving member of their •
•fa'mily;of thirteen. z.
He'was• born in 1$99 on Conces-
siorr six , Huron Township and
lived thereountil after his
marriage in;1927 when he. moved .
to Ripley. He carried'on a paint-
ing and decorating business for a .
period of for,ty years and was
active until hospitalized on Oct-
ober 30,.

He was a member of the Oddfel•
lows Lodge and a. faithful°worker
in Knox Presbyterian Church,
Ripley where he served on the
'Session. Funeral services were
cond.ucte,d in the church on'Tues
day , Novernbe.r 17,, by, the Rev,
Kenneth J. Rooney.
Pallbearers' were Edwin Bell, .
Gary,Napper,, Joe, Hodgins,
lace Pollock.., Lloyd Wylds, and •
Ivan Cook. . Honorary pallbearers
were members of the Kirk Session.
