•ent Council of`R.D.H.S.
It can well be remembered that
out of our diminutive school,' •
emerged a. championship team
that carried Ripley toprovincial
,recognition! •
EXAMS
Thisyear's first '.edition of
exams 'opened .on November 19.
They ended, none too.soon, on
November 25. In between were
long mornings and afternoons
filled with wailing, and gnaiing,
of teeth. There was sor ie nausea ,
Monday morning was brightened
for some less than enthusiastic--. --
students whenthe hydro went off:
Hysterical laughingwas interrup-
ted by the shout's of frenzied
teachers. Who', us cheat'?• ' Ridic-
ulous!

Finally. however , they, were
over Pale and chastened , the
students filed into school on Thurs
day. 'We have to learn sornething,
the next exams are in March!.
CURTIS PLAN
is year's Stu•'ent Council is
again'embarking on..an attempt to
raise the level in the Council
coffers. This week, RDHS stud-
ents
tud-ents will begin to sell magazine
,subscriptions., Last year, we had
the highest per capita sales of
any school -in Canada. If you'
would like ,to subscribe to any
magazine and help otir .Student's

ents.
CHRISTMAS DANCE
The Student. Council have plans
under way for our annual Christ-
!has Dance. It is planned for
Tuesday night „.December 22.
Music will be provided by "Jack

Again this year Ripley is in the.
full swing of winter spirts. The
enthusiastic- citizens -of Ripley and
HurOn Township are looking . for -
'ward to an exciting year. The
ice has been in at.the Curling and
'Hockey arenas for two weeks .and.
already every night is filled. with
activity. High school curling'
Alas been delayed due co exams,
but is hoped to begin next week.
This season the Ripley Minor
Hockey Association is 'supporting,
five teams..' The,teams include.
Squirts, Pee Wee Bantam-, Bantam,; Mid-
es. A great deal.

RIFLE --Y DEFEATS MEA; FORD
'The Ripley•Ju.veniles opened, the

by Dennis Martin, tallied for
