Mrs James. Smith, president of
the afternoon group, presided and
opened the meeting with a Thank-
sgiving verse and prayer, The
scripture and meditation,, based
on the Thanksgiving theme, was.

ages, the giving of thanks to .God
has been an important .part of.
everyone's life. Mrs. Lorne
Sparks favoured with a solo.'

manner of her stay in, Puerto. Rico.;
when her husband and she taught
in a private school there.• • She
pointed out 'many differences in
the way of living on that island
as compared to our viays. She
had many interesting articles on
