Nobe Thoughts.. and Nicholls' Notions.
The summer Season is well onto
us now , and with, it, many
varied activities. We are fortun-
ate in being so close to some of
summer. times:: most attractive
recreations, •boating , swimming
and camping. Also we happen. to
be on.'the fringe of a summer ,..•
resort .area.: which attracts people •
by; tiie-th6usands. Therein lies an
pportuuity and a-chhlienge •for
the community.
Perhaps we need some kind of
tourism and historical promotion
society inour community, , in
order to attract tourists visiting
in nearby ,areas.:' When you talk
to people living here you cannot ..
escape the note ofpridein •
their voices. And yet it is only•
the occasional passer by• who stops
to find out about our snug little
town nestled down in :the valley.

inviting, especially as we strug-

days' at_the cottage can be a
marvelously enriching experience.
The prospect of water skiing to
any who have known this
experience is like bait' to the
hungry fish,
No onewould .• wish to exclude
these pursuits., .Butunless we put
.omething into. out community
then there will be no ,glorious
