• FIELD DAY,
Despite the rain which began'a .
, few minutes before the events' •
• -"we-re started, -we-carried On -with-
• our track and field competition.
After a light lunch, tte,students.
gathered outside and then wentto
:their various events.
•The teachers were each in''char•
ge of•`some activities and kept,
*records of all the• jumps and times
• of running. ''hese sheets were •
sent in to the score desk where
the results were recorded. Winn-
ers, reported to the' desk for their
ribbons. Firstprize winners
'received red'ribbgns and 5 points,,
second.prize was a blue ribbon
and 4 points, third was a- white
ribbon and 3 points , fourth was a
.gr.eenribbon. and 2 points 'a.nd: for
fifth position 1 point was awarded•;
The girls' 'results'were, as .,,
follows: Midget :ch rnpion,
Debbie Tranter , 36 points; :Run-
ner-up was Kathy Farrell, 31
,points; Junior champion,' Margo
Nicholson 45'. points; Runner• -up
was Gail Courtney, 33 points
Senior champion, -Jean Scott,
