Onceagain; it is that tune of year, when we
are asked .,to support', minor •• hockey, and;to
remind our readers of that already well-known
Slogan "Don't send Take• your boy 'to • the •
We are willing to do this because we agree
there should be special recognition of the . men
.(and women) 'who make minor hockeypos-
sible here: .
The local minor: hockey association is com-
posed of enthusiastic, hard-working volunteers
whose 'efforts , on behalf of local youngs eTs ••
• cannot be measured in."lours :or dollars. They
make it possible for our youngsters to take part

' Morethan that; they contribute towards
the development not only of . stronger bodies;
but of healthier minds and .better citizens. They
keep the youngsters off the streets and -engaged
in :healthy, supervised sport. `
While we pause' long' enough to' pay tribute
to our minor 'hockey • workers, . similar recog-
nition of the thousands of minor hockey volun-
teers in Canada is taking place right 'across.

• is not a happy one. We all know the particulars, at least
any of us who have read . stories over the past six yearswill
know some basic facts 'concerning Rev, Horsburgh's plight,.
In 1957, three years ago the Supreme Court of Canada, the
°_;,;h h tjnihP land said..that Rev Horsburgh was innocent of all
. charges. Three years later he is still battling odds against him'
• It appears that, once a man has been dragged through the mud,
even the opinion of the highest court in the land is not enough
to: convince his critics that they should treat this man the way

During the several' years since charges .of immoral be-
haviour within his ,church were first ` brought 'against him, this
man has suffered severe hardships, .both personal anti financial.
• Despite the fad that he is innocent in the eyes of the highest
Canadian :court. he has never been able to lift himself out .of the
on his hands, cancer of the thigh bone:, which .'.was. detect • last
