Ontario. Judy •won the honour at
the Lucknow Fall Fair on Saturday
evening when she topped nine
other contestants. She is a grade
` 12 student at theRipley, District
High School and represented the
Legion and Ladies Auxiliary of
Ripley -Huron Judy will, represent
Midwestern Ontario in the Miss
Dominion of Canada contest next'.

:The 104th Lucknow, Pall. Fair is
now°history, . The successful event
was held on Friday .and Saturday of
last week, September 19 ;and 20,
The weather was warm and sunny,
the crowd was large: and there, was
plenty' of fun for all"frorri start to •
finish ,.
The Fair: kicked off on. Friday
when entries were placed and •
judged. On Friday evening the
'arena wasopen for interested 'res; .
idents to=view the inside exhibits',..
Many took advantage.of this oppor-
tunity.The insrdearrangement a
was quitedifferent this year with
the general exhibits ;in the centre
• of the arena and the commercial '
:_exhibits„ flowers,. etc.; around the
outside walls;• Of particular sigriif
icance was.the increase in quality
and quantity of the comrf2ercial
exhibits' both inside and outside
the arena.
On•Friday evening, at.:the Luck -
now Public School, district young
people had the chance to dance to
the Magic Cycle from 10 to 1 p. m.
A large crowd attended and this
particular part of the.. Fair was a
success , •

the community oyer the past week
