The windup dinner Friday was a
smorgasbord meal which stressed ,

• A group of us took time to visit
the docks on Wednesday and watch
an Italian passenger ship, Christ-
opho Cplumbo sail for New York
after A four hour doclung at
Halifax where a number of Greek',
and Italian:immigrants landed' in
eanada..to.begina-knew life here.
We watched as one lady "missed
the boat" so to speak.and stood on
the•dock frantically calling and
waving in a language we did not
,understand. When the tug boat -
had the passenger,liner underway,
it returned, picked up the lady and
.she joined the .liner •before it•left; •
Halifax harbour. •

•• Saturday, with the convention
over,. We had a.day, to ourselves
and the five of us rented a car and
took a tour of Halifax which was -
'clearly 'mapped -out- tourist;---
