The guides learned ' about the
earth, sun, ,'moon and. other stars
and planets. Lt Hayes then. took
the girls out for a game called •
"Elephant”
The Kingfishers had campfire with
a•Quiz on Canada and, the meeting '
closed with the singing of taps.

The last surviving, me. Timber, of a
pioneer family,of' Kincardine Town
ship, Lavina Emerson, daughter of
the .late SamuelEmerson and Marg:-
aret Hill, passed away at her home.
11024 Whittier St. v.Detroit; •Michi-
gan on May 26;• 069 in, her one
hundredth year',
She was born 'at Lot 60, on the
South line in Kincardine Township
'on November 11, 1869. On this
farm she'spent .her ,maiden 'years
And' then moved to ,Kincardin-e with
her father.
At her home ,in Kincardine, on,
February 19; 1907 , she was united
in marriage to Edwin Percy.: of, Kin
lough.. ,After' their marriage they:
settled on their. farm.at Kinlough ,. :.:
To'`this union, were born two Sons, ;.',
Alvin who survives and Emersona•
who died in infancy Ten happy
years of marriage were spent on
this-farin untilher; husband's
health began to fail and sorrow'
entered her life ,with the' passing o
her husb,nd on February 27, .1917
With her young son Alvin .,..she
moved to Kinlough and later to
Kincardine' and: Lucknow where.
