The play-off for the John Bell'Trophy and the Club Championship had Harry. `Scott in "the unique position of playing ag- ainst g ainst his own rink. Harry had! won the .,,Christmas draw , curling with Harry Colling,, Lloyd. Wylds and , Bob Johnston. and defeated Don; Gaunt, winner.of the January Draw . in the:preliminary round. Harry's rink of Allan.Irwin, at lead Allan Johnston; Second. and Rin MacDon- ald , vice, had won the March draw.Harry then had to relinquish. the skip's -chores on the second rink to Bert Elliott, and, take his origin- al `rink into. the final. The 12=end final was. close right down to the wire,. being tied'coming home,.and was won by Bert. Elliott , ' So- Harry o Harry had to content himself with.
