One such contribution which we would like ; to . mention is that
..of the Good. Friday Cantata which was presented in the Lucknow
United Church on Friday evening'by a community choir, representing.
various'. faiths in Lucknow and surrounding, area.
'Many hours of preparation go into such a presentation and in
days of many varied interests .in a community such as, ours, it is '.
noteworthy thatpeople of, the community; who love music, will ded- ,.
icate themselves tothe presentation of this religious 'message through
music and song.
It is realized. that .a musical presentation of this type. does'..not -
capture the interest of. all people, but with the. Lucknow United; Church
well filled' for oast .Friday's Cantata, it will be satisfying for. those who
put so much time into the preparation. of the evening's .program' to
know that their efforts . were/ appreciated by ; the many village , and '.
rural people in'attendance:
While all members of the choir deserve:' commendation, we feel
that a special word of. praise .should . go to 'the .director!, Mrs. Gordon,
Montgomery and the organist Bob Hall.
CLUB FOR LUCKNO
A number of village residents, -.interested in • the .:promotion of •
skiing : in the community, • are endeavouring. to : establish' a' ski club
for the people 'bf.,Lucknow : and.districtx
`" In this 'regard, a public meeting will be' held. on Friday night
of this' week,. April llth, in the Lucknow ' Town ;,Hall. Ski ..films will be
shown,•and admission will be free. All men, women: and .children in this
area who like to ski, or .those who might wish to learn, are .invited to
be at this meetings
I is `ho ed' that a, slate ofofficers for. a Lucknow SkiIClub can

Skiers., or prospective' skiers; this Is your chance to create more
interest localy.. in a''.fast ' .growing this
'sport! Many city dwellers
drive hundreds of miles meekly to use ski facilities::' We have `:them
sitting - on our doorstep. . A ski club.in Lucknow is a natural.

'There' has been considerable edit-

Concerning the .report: of the comm

intentioned', and in a. measure help -
