Peter Melville Johnston of
Lucknow was honoured last week
for the completion of 52 years in
the ,employ of the Canada Post
'Office, Mr.. Johnston has the .'
longest service of any Postal, empl-
oyee or mail contractor in south-
western Ontario and: according to
H . F., Murray of London, district
director of postal. services for
southwestern Ontario, itis 'bel-
ieved that Peter holds the record'
for the longest service of°any.

It all began in January; 1918,

Phillip Stewart. of Lucknow who..
operated„the• route.from •1915 when1
it started,' until January of.1918:

station, where it:was received,
