• were. opened at this time . Only one
tender for spraying and one for the
position of inspector were received.
Two for warbicide were received.
Motion by.Councillors Aitchison'.
and Foran; "That West Wawanosh
Municipal Council accept' (1) the
tender of Murray Reid of Londesbor
to ,supply approximately 600 pounds
of 'warbicide powder :in .bags of
. 15 lbs. 4 $5:25 per bag;. (2) the
tender of Kenneth Weber of Brussels
to spray cattle for warbles for the
lump sum price of *$1100'. 00; and
,(3) the application of Delmar
Sproul for the position' of
Warble Ply Inspector: and. (4) that•
farmers be charged at the 'rate of
180 per head per spray.
A letter from Ontario Hydro was
read, and on motion of

Mr.* MacNaug hton described his'.
budget As being "in balance" and.'•
he revealed only .one major new
program, a' Government fund to',
:supply mortgage, money for potent-
ial homeowners. The mortgage
fund will be created with an initial

taxation; the Treasurer said.:he
would have fallen $17.9 million
short of Matching expenditures' and,

The assessment takeover is to
occur in two stages, :Next July 1.,
the Government will assume ,res,-
ponsibility in much of Northern
Ontario; the rest of the province
will follow. next January 1.
