Lna Ctrr Oov.-A sad accident hap- pened at Gienannan on Monday night, about 10 o'clock. The (J. P. R. freight left here for Teeswater at 9.40, and while coupling cars at Gienannan, Harry PInchin. one of the brakemen, tell, the train passing over one of his lege below the knee. As soon as the train readmit Teeswater a special left carrying the injured man to Toronto, where he was placed in the hospital. The leg will have to be amputated abcve the knee. Harry was a great favorite on the line, and great sym- pathy is felt for htm by the railway ern_plovees. THREE BAD FALLEI.-On Moday, Mrs. A. IL Carr was BO unfortunate as to fall on the sidewalk and break one of her wrists. On Monday evening also, Mrs. Wm. Ferguson, of Morris, while pressing St. Paul's church, slip- ped and fell, receiving iniuries which necessitated the services of a physi- cian. On the sante evening and neat the same place, Thos. Irwin, caretak- er of the cemetery, also fell break- ing several ribs, and cutting his bead severely. Not often do we have to record three similar accidents aCcur- ring on the same evening. -Advance.
