The Lucknow and District, Horti . cultutal Society held their -annual ,banquet in the Legion• Hall on Tuesday evening November 21. This event, always .one•of.the high- lights of, the year, was attended by about 90. members and 'guests,: The arrangements for the evening were in.charge of\Mrs. Wm. Wharry Mrs. A.E.•McKit Mrs ,Jos. Mac- Millan and Mrs. J.W. Joynt. The at• tractive table decorations were .provided by Mrs. Tom Salkeld .and a delicious and bountiful meal was served' by the ;ladies.of• Blake's Church; Ashfield. ' • The President. Mrs. -Ross Cumm- ing was chairman for -the short•bus. iness meeting and programme ' which followed .
