He,•was born in Goderich Township on November 17 , 1881 and the family moved to West Wa wanosh; Township in 1883 where he resided. at Lot'15 , Concession 14 until 1948 when he retired to •Luck - now.: He was the and last surviving member of a family of • eleven sons and daughters of the, late George Greer .Sr. and Mary` Adam's and was a member` of the. congregation of Lucknow Methodist Church and subsequently -the United.
