The annual' variety concert• and.
commenCeme'lit Of the ,Ripley Dist-
rict High School was held. last
Thursday and Friday a good
attendance on both evenings. The
program opened'with all students
On the auditorium 'stage singing
choir numbers with 'a Centennial
theme. Leader and piardst for th
choir was Miss Corinne MacDonald
•and director was Miss Ann Ferguson.

: helped the boys. greatly. Jack now
works in Luclmow. '

Miss Margaret Machan directed,a
series of seven dances' with the
girls- of the different, physical
education classes All were in -
costume and the dances were well
performed. Narrator for these was.
*MissMaryMacCreath of Grade 10.
They were centred around the
theme "Dancing Across Canada".

school.

singers. Special coloured lighting
