•MRS.' FREDERICK CARTER
Mrs. Frederick, Carter of;Wing-
ham passed away on October 20th
at the Elmira Private Hospital,
following.'a lengthy illness
Mrs; Carter was the:former :Eliz-
abeth: Alberta Bowers, born in Hur-
on Township in 1886,' She married
William A. Ferris, a 'Lucknow
painter and decorator. They resid
ed in Lucknow for many years..
.'Mr.. Ferris passed away June 2nd,
1942., •
Mrs. Ferris later moved .to Wing -
ham where she married Frederick :-
Carter. Mr. Carter. passed away •
a few years ago.
• She is survived by one daughter;
Mrs: Gomer (Kathleen) Gibbons
of Elmira; one brother Shirt Bowers'
Of Huron Township; two sisters,'
Mrs. Tudor (Elsie) Jackson of .'
Detroit and Mrs. Alex (Lola) Patt-
erson o' Ladner, British' •
Columbia,; one grandson and one
great granddaughter. '
• Funeral service was held:on Oct
ober 23rd at MacLennan -McCreath
Funeral Home Ripley with inter-
ment at :Ripley cemetery.
