the'annual ladies' night of Old ,
Light.Lodge, Lucknow on.Wednes-
day night of last week.
Rev. Dunlop was introduced by
Mrs, Donald Blue of Ripley in the '
absence of Mr. Blue who was
Rev., Dunlop came to •'tile Ripley
charge from Ireland eight years
ago with his wife and,.tw.o teen-
age members of their family. In.
Ireland he was a, director of a .,
bays' college at Belfast prior to
joining the United; .Church of Can-
ada : Mr,. Dunlop ministered at
Ripley for two years prior to accept
ing 'a call to Fonthill where. he 'has'
remained since then,.
Rev. Dunlop, who was, accompan
ied by his wife to the banquet,,
reminisced about bis pleasant
times in Ripley and. also .dwelton
the advances of society through,tbe
years keeping in 'mind d. the theme

years old. He Said it was an honour
for the Lodge to have one of its
members, Robert MacKenzie,,
elected to the office: of District.

ing him, to the District Deputy
office. He spoke of early .accomp-
lishments of. the Lodge,and`of the
growth through the years;

the local yokels rushed the season,

weeks with some destructive vand-

Besides the less: serious' vandalism,
the air hose at Mac,Donald's Garage
has been cut two weeks in a row.,
hydrants have been, turned on and
left running and.:on Sunday night a
fire was started on Ma.in.Street in
front of the fire hall.
