The president. Mrs: Ezra Scholtz .:
presided and, extended a welcome
to all.' Thanksgiving hymns•were
sung. The Scripture was read by.
Mrs. Clifford' Laidlaw. Mrs': Elwood
Groskorth gave the •Meditation;.. The
• general Thanksgiving was read 'in' •
•unison Prayer was 'given by 'Mrs.

repeated the "Aim and Purpose" of
' the,W;M:S, in unison.

adopted .as read Business was
discussed and•the Fall . .

Keith and the Scripture to be stud,-,
led,' Psalm 148:, was 'read by Mrs..,
H. La'vis.with the rollcall being.
a verse with "Thanks" Miss •
'Sutherland had charge of the Pray-
er Circle, and: Mrs. Alex MacLeod
contributed` a solo accompanied by
Mrs . Roderick.MacLeod.
The guest, speaker was Miss Doro-
thy Douglas who served many years
as a . Missionary in Formosa.. She
gaver'a very informative; talk on
conditions in:that land where .she
taught in the.High: School. She told
of the wonderful awakening move
.ment'among the abpriginal tribes
in the Mountains and the need to•
•
provide them with churches, sch- -
ools and educational."facilities.,. She
presented numerous conditions in
the Island Beautiful as a challenge,'
to the .Christian' Church in Canada
for prayer and financial support:

home last week after being a pat-
ient in Wingliani hospital. Mrs.
Chisholrn's mother, Mrs, Watson;

home for a couple of weeks,.
