Troubles come often, it Seems at
the Melvin Passmoreitorne in 'Luck -
A fever weeks ago, .Mrs. Passmore.
injured her neck and was unable to
wotk until recently. Three days
after her accident, her grandmother
passed away in Toronto. A few days
following, her son Rick was admin-
ed•to hospital to have surgery on ,
both large toes and cartilage temp
ed. Things Were just getting back
;to normal when Mrs. Passmore's
mother, Mrs. Darby suffered a
severe heart attack on Saturday
and is now a patient in Wingharn,
Hospital. The passmores -reside just
south of the Legion Hall and Mrs.
Darby lives in the trailer home
just to the east of the, Passmore •
house.. •

Wedding Anniversary on Monday.

Drowned As Ship
Sinks Near Norway
• A tragic accident off the Norweg-,
ianlioast, September. 3rd had local
coCections here. The,bOdy.of Rob-
ert Bruce Bradley, age 24 of Meat -
ford, was found after the sinking of
the Norwegian coastal vessel Dux.
NOrth. Fourteen persons are believ•-=

The youth was the oldest son of •
Mr. and. Mrs Jerry Bradley of
Meaford and had just completed
•four years at London University
where he had received his Bachelor
of Arts degree. He was working hii

high school. He left in January and

• Bruce's sister graduates as a nurse
'from Owen. Sound hospital this
weekend. He has two brothers. His

Plans For Community Centennial Service
The Lucknow Ministerial Assoc- .
iation met last Thursday at the
home 'of the Rev. ,S.E. Jay to fin-
alize plans for the coming Cent-
ennial service on Sunday, Septern-
ber17-, at 3:30 p.m. This Sunday
was chosen because of the
Lucknow Fair Friday and Saturday •
with the church service to. culmin-
ate the Centennial' weekend.

of the churches in Lucknow,
with participation of the whole
community in various parts., It
will be held on the fair grounds,
weather petmitting,but if the
weather ,shpuld be cold or rainy,
permission has been received to
use the High School Auditorium.

Mrs. Gordon Montgomery. Girl,
guides and Brownies are involved in
a prayer of dedication. Boy Scouts
and Rovers will be asked to take . .
charge of parking and ushering...

be at the place,of worship at 3 00
to practice a Centennial Song under
