At.the. Wedding dinner whiAli was,
held at '.7 o'clock in the auditorium
of Ripley District High 'School, Rev,
John Hill acted as master of cere
mdnies. The balance of .the
evening was spent in dancing' to the
music' of Glen Boyd's orchestra.
For the wedding trip to Vancouver
the bride' chose white linen suit
with pale. blue felt hat and black
accessories. On their return, they

The Lucknow 'Agricultural
Society last week held theirfinale.
Meeting to .makeplans for the,
FaTl Fair to' be held ;September 15
and 16. - . .
Reports •from all conveners assures
a good, Fair. The, parade should be
one of the best inthe area , reports
.Charlie°Webster. Of course he
will be glad to•hear from anyone ,
having a float or decorated car. to '
enter., •
The Beauty Queen contest is sure
to
,be good . • Many of the girls are •
already• entered in. .the contest by
the various towns and villages,,
around. ' •
Judges from Toronto Will, be on.
.the,grounds all day and will seethe
girls many times .during the day '
and evening
The , new •sign , which.is to be a
permanent 'part of the Fair; . will
soon'go'up and •one of which every-
one should be proud.
The•Hall is to be open Friday
evening at 8 p.m . and absolutely
no •admittance to the Hall will be
allowed in the afternoon 'at any.

It was with regret that the society
learned the fate of the banner and
no,effort will .be made to erect an-
other.. Also they is the hope that
someone"will cdpe up with the
answer to its 'destruction. 'It seems
to the Society that someone, or
something had a spite against it ,
as last year it hung only two, days..
These things cost a 'tremendous,
amount of money and especially' to
an organization which works on as
little as, the ,Agricultural Society:
However; the spirit of :the Fair.
Board hasn't been dampened and '
the Fair will proceed as.'planned,
and it is hoped co-operation' will
come from all areas :lndications
are that it will as there seems to
be help in one area or . another'
from several organizat'iohs'already.,
