At Flower'Show
The. Lucknow and District Horti-
cultural Society's annual summer
Fiower'Show held on Friday even-
ing, August 18, drew a large
number of admiring visitors. Fif-
teen senor members and two
juniors had exhibits on display,
Mrs ; Ewan, McLean from Ripley
" . Horticultural Society assisted. by
Mrs, Salkeld capably judged
the entries during the afternoon.
The President, Mrs.. Ross Cumin -
ng, ' assisted by. Mrs.' E. McClen
aghan.: and Miss Ada Webster made
' the following :presentations at the
close, -of the; show.
Ralph'Pagat was presented with
the Beatty Ladder Company trophy'
.and'a'silver vase donated, by •
Eaton's for the highest points for'
the entire show (76 points). . ,,
Mrs. Alex. Purves,placed second
with 60pointsand received Simp-
son's'prize of:a linen table cloth
and serviettes...
Robert Fisher, 41. points and .Ken
Cameron with 30 points won
awards' of garden fertilizer, dont.-
'ed by Swifts.
