She was in her 88th year.
She was the former Eliza .Ann .;
Jarvis, born, inWest. Wawanosh.
Township. Her husband predeceas-
ed her five years ago '
• Mrs. Farrier` was a :highly respect-:'
ed • member: of the Whitechurch
community; Throughout her life ,,
time she had, an' unswerving
Christian faith and was devoted;to
the activities of her church and :
community. She was deeply,
interested; in every phase of the',
lives ofher .family' and grandchild
ren . and her artistic : talents brought
'much pleasure to' her friends •and •
family.' . •
Mrs. 'Farrier shared her'love•of
music with others.'aid for many
years was organist and choir: leader
in the church She was a member:'
ofthe United Church';
and was a••Life'.Member of.the Unit-�
ed Church» Wometi.. She:•also took
an active part» in the Women's
Institute. •
She is survived by two daughters,
Winnifred of Toronto and Mrs Jack'
(Olive) Gillespie. of .Sarnia; fourr'
sons, Garnet of Whitechurch, • Car-
man of Toronto , Russell of
Wingham and Clifford of Kitchener,
There are twelve grandchildren •
and one great-granSchiild;and a
sister, Mrs. Samuel. Reid of
Lucknow, .. A sister and a &other pre
deceased her.

United Church conducted service
on Tuesday afternoon at. the Mc-
Kenzie Memorial Chapel in 'Luck-
now with interment. in Greenhill
Cemetery. He was assistedin the
service by Mr:. M. Ross, student
minister' of the Whitechurch• •
United Church.
The pallbearers were Wayne and
DOtiglas. Parrier, Bill Macintyre,
Richard West, Millan Moore and »;
Elwood Groskorth and floral
tributes were carried by Brian and
Dale Farrier, Barry Gillespie and
Robert Stewart.

Southampton. met with the Curators,
of Bruce'South District of the
Women's Institute. Several comm-
ittee members also attended ,Mr.
MacLeod explained his plans for P
writing the History of Bruce from,
1906 to the present.He hopes to
follow the• plan of the.prevous
;book written•»by Norman Robertson:,
and also show the many changes
and trends in Agriculture i Educat-
ion, .Religion, . local government
and mode,'of life .of •.Bruce's people.

such things as stories; of Century
':farms and an Eaton's catalogue of
1900. ;Mrs. Geo Downey had cop-
ies of the Centennial Booklet of
the `Bruce Historical Society. It is
a: fine souvenier number.•
