Mr. MacKinnon explained that
the school board would have to
make a decision, on the operation
of the cafeteria at the Lucknow
High School when the elementary
board took over a year from this •
coming Fall. He said that the board
Would be seeking .an •indication this
Fall on how :many. students might be
•interested in making use„of the
cafeteria facilities. ,

by the chairman after which Mary •
Elizabeth,Hendersori, proposed a
toast to the teachers. This was re'
plied to by Stuart Collyer. Mrs. •
Gerald Murray proposed.a toast to
the pupils. A toast to the school
board was, proposed by Brian' Keith
And replied to by Walter Breckles.•
Brenda Bushell proposed a toast to
the parents and this was repliedtd
by Mrs. George Newbold. Anne
Graham expressed thanks t� the.
Kairshea Women's Institute for cat-
ering for the ;meal.' This was repl- .1

Margaret Doelman, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Brian'Doelman of
Kinloss, was chosen valedictorian
kir the evening and gave the vale-`
dictory .address. '
• Heather MacKenzie favoured the
group• with a piano solo 'and an
amusing skit, was later put on by
grade 8: students at No. 1 Kinloss..
The guest'speaker for the evening
was public school inspector Keith
Waldie who hadan appropriate
message for the graduating' classes.

The first.day's travel took them
350 miles to Ottawa,' where:they
spent the night at the Connaught
Ranges and :on Saturday were on
hand for the memorable celebrat
ion to mark; the nation's 100th
birthday. On Sunday morning they
attended church in -Ottawa and
travelled on to Montreal. After
Visit ,to Expo ''67 the tour will con
tinue to' Rimouski, Quebec; Shed
iac, N.B.; into Nova Scotia with
stops at Kentville; Cape Biomed
in, Halifax,, Cape Breton Island,:
Prince ,Edward Island and home :via
Quebec City.
During the three weeks they,are
away the boys will visit many of
the :places''which are particularly
significant in Canadian history,
-and will: have; opportunities to
meet and mingle -with Scouts
•from Quebec and other French-
speaking, areas;
Although some overnight accom
modation•will.beunder roofs, .as:
at plates such 'as the Connaught
Ranges, .most of the accommodat-
ion will be provided, by the tents
which are part of the big load 'of
equipment travelling with them in
a large van -type truck. 'Complete
kitchen facilities are alsoa part.

meal have been planned in.ad-
vane.

charge ,of the tour and will be
