took a Businesi course at. 1-1. B, •
Technical and Commercial School
London. After completing this
course, she took a'position as
secretary for Beatty Brothers, 'Fer-
gus: Later she worked for the :John-,
stone Wax Company in Brainpton.
She began her work as. Secretary •
for the High School in.1959, and
has been here for seven years: She.
also works Wednesday afternoon ,
as cashier at the Sales Barn.
• Her jOb consists of typing up the
exarninations, making out tile.
0.S.R. file cards, carrying on all
the correspondence and typing
letters for teachers., She also ,
•
keeps the attendance records and
runsthe office. Her office is a
busy one with students borrowing
everything from paper and staplers
to elastic bands.
-Mrs. Elliott is an avid basketball,,,
fan who never misses a home
garne. She can be heard cheering
loudly for the Lucknowites. She,
also helps thestudents in .many -
other endeavours which they.att-
empt t0 carry out, such as. invit-
ation -list's -and gestetner-work:
She thinks smaller schools •
provide the students with a more
personartouch 'which teaches
them to be better citizens as well'
as good scholars. She feels that
•the students in Lucknow District
High School are a good group and
it would be difficult,to.find any
•better. '•
