incidents 'of vandalism that have.
been,; reported in Lucknow and' vic-
.inity;. What surprised me espec
Tally was:the.,damage •to the town
water pump: Acts hke:•this would
seen ; to be'done by children or
:•adults;;who; have a grudge against
society..in general: Actually, in
Spite . of the wide-spread•'prosper
-ity of today, there does' seem' to
be a great deal that isn't just right
with. the • world ..Without attempt-:
ing to take sides ori the -issues of
the Vietnam war we`cannot help,;
but get the: impression: that thew
must be something that is badly
out of kilter in: a. world.• society
that • has seen countless thousands., .
of children killed'or terribly
wounded,as a result of thus, war.
Students of world history must:
marvel at the tremendous accel-
eration that has occurred in. world.
events:dur.ing the last two, hundred

world events.:. As far as the peace
.problem • is concerned it is
important that adults and
