construction,' He also 'stated that
most of the employees'w,ere given
an increase'in, wages and that ,the
Commission were well ''pleased with
their work.. Mr. 'Needham
explained the various increases in •
Revenue when 'Dial operations
start.:
Commissioner 'Murray .Campbell
gave an outline of the outside, plant
work in 'preparation for Dial cut-
over, explaining that ,all cables'
• his.past year had been put in and
erground, . Some of the larger .cabl
es were installed from Ripley to
Bervie and Kincardine; Ripley to
Lucknow' and south to meet the Dun
gannon cables; Ripley 'to Amberley
and :south •into Ashfield; Pine River
to Point Clark; Ripley to Holyrood,
and Kinlough.:
Commissioner Dan, MacDonald
explained the construction of the
new' . L'ial Office in Ripley and: the.
costs. Also that all the village
cables had been put new
underground, as well as all the
•
customers' 'service wires.
Manager Clayton. Nicholson spoke
on the new Dial operation that will
be in effect May.7, 1967. He',ex
plained the, E. A. S, .(Extended Area
Service) Ripley to Kincardine and.
Ripley to Dungannon: Extended:
Area Service Ripley -,Lucknow is
scheduled for operation later this
year. Direct Distance Dialing will',,
be effective at ,cut -over on May 7.
Also the new telephones and lines
are installed, and testing of new'
phones will commence this.week.

versus a locally,owned and •
.operated Stock Comapny, The foll

other legal transactions that would
be necessary. Also that the Comm-

a special meeting of Subscribers at
the latter part of. June to discuss. ,
