Art"Smeltzer and fa'ni ly Hostess Ladies.. • PURPLE GROVE,NEWS • The 4-H girls were hostesses to the ladies Of the community 011 Friday afternoon: when they held a tea in, the Community Centre. The girls` programconsisted of quizzes and contests readings and' a demo- nstration of how ladies 100 years ,ago prepared` their. meals.' They explained.the uses of the many authentic pieces of kitchenware: Which they had' on display and told the age and origin of many of the items. Each' one of the girls took part in the program and: preparing the many varieties of .food served 'at lunch. On the menu were dishes. from other countries 'such as, Pizza , cabbage roils, chop•suey etc. Mrs. Morford ' MacKay thanked everyone for 'attending arid stated she thought hers were the best 13. girls ever.
