boast .of one of the most modern
abattoirs in the area. Pictured
above is the new Ripley Abattoir
recently opened by Charles'•
Hooisma in the Huron Hub..Charlie
has•operated a ;meat .business in .
Ripley fat some time and ,this latest,
addition and improvement will
offer maximum efficiency for his
Ripley operation.. •
The new Abattoir is located' at the
south end of Ripley, just west of
the 15th ofHuron'..The building..
which is. 40' by 120' was started
last September and was completed.

struction. In addition to the new
abattoir; Charlie is continuing to
operate his "main street meat mar-
ket in Ripley.
He has a staff of three .full time
assistants,'. Gordon 'Martin of Huron
township and Zen and Gerry 'Visser..,
of Teeswater. Son• Jake also assists
with the operation of the butcher
shop. Also on duty.every .day will
be a provincial meat•inspector'and.
there .is: a' special office provided .
