Our whole attitude and the function of a •modern Hospital has changed.greatly since Kincar- dine established .a Hospital in '1996; formerly: a patient only went to Hospitat as a last resort, -but now everyone goes for 'diagnosis and treatment. Costs. have .risen - in some cases as, 'much as' 60 times. The Ontario Hospital Corfunission pays the.day-to-day costs but also make a lot of• stipulation.. Extra money is needed for equipment and expansion. The.. Hospital Auxiliary helps provide all the •extras°which help to make a pat- ient's stay in Hospital more pleas- ant,. They were dressed in old. fashioned costumes in 'a• setting of a family room in Grandmother's time, centre table with oil lamp; a basket of knitting, rocking. 'chairs, grandfathers clock,, bu er bowl, ironing board and charcoal iron., Mrs. Ross Errington gave •the address of welcome, followe d. by a song "Giandmother' s'Clock",.
