;when Mr, Rennie, ..administrator
of Kincardine. District Hospital,.
addressed them at their November
meeting..' Our whole attitude and
the function of a •modern Hospital
has changed.greatly since Kincar-
dine established .a Hospital in '1996;
formerly: a patient only went to
Hospitat as a last resort, -but now
everyone goes for 'diagnosis and
treatment. Costs. have .risen - in
some cases as, 'much as' 60 times.
The Ontario Hospital Corfunission
pays the.day-to-day costs but also
make a lot of• stipulation.. Extra
money is needed for equipment
and expansion. The.. Hospital
Auxiliary helps provide all the
•extras°which help to make a pat-
ient's stay in Hospital more pleas-
ant,. A tuck .cart and Candy, -striper
program are two of these added •
,features.. Plans for. the new •addit •

. ion were explained. Members, felt•
they: had' reason to; be proud of the
fine services:available in the local
Hospital, Mr. Rennie was thanked....

held Thursday , November 3rd in
the Hill with an attendance of

fashioned costumes in 'a• setting of
a family room in Grandmother's
time, centre table with oil lamp;
a basket of knitting, rocking.
