Charles Webster. who is chairman bf the parade committ-. eeand'who'has been instrumental` in arranging. for Miss Dominion of Canada` to appear. has been working .on the beauty contest idea for some time and a'specal meeting, of the ,Agricultural Soc- iety was conned on Friday to . . decide on the matter: ' The Fair Board were favourably impressed by . the idea of staging the contest and the go-ahead was received at 'the meeting'. Charlie plans to contact all High Schools in the district and ' request that each school enter - one contestant in the contest. The .winner will have the oppaR= unity to, enter the Miss Dominion of Canada Contest in 1967. Prizes for Lucknow contest will be $50. for first, $20. ,for second and $10 for all additional entries 'The winner will be chosen on the • evening of the Fair, Saturday September 17th.
