Fair, Miss Dominion of Canada To Assist

of Canada` to appear. has been
working .on the beauty contest
idea for some time and a'specal
meeting, of the ,Agricultural Soc-
iety was conned on Friday to . .
decide on the matter: '
The Fair Board were favourably
impressed by . the idea of staging
the contest and the go-ahead was
received at 'the meeting'.
Charlie plans to contact all
High Schools in the district and '
request that each school enter -
one contestant in the contest.
The .winner will have the oppaR=
unity to, enter the Miss Dominion
of Canada Contest in 1967.
Prizes for Lucknow contest will
be $50. for first, $20. ,for second
and $10 for all additional entries
'The winner will be chosen on the
• evening of the Fair, Saturday
September 17th.
The Lucknow Fairboard are.
anxious to have a good Fair and .
are putting forth every effort to
make th;1s year's event one to
remember. The theme "Tile
Roaring Twenties" should make:.

Saturday August 27th , of Mary
Bertha Anderson and John David
Hunter, both of Toronto.
The bride is the daughter of. Mr,
and Mrs. Wilfred Anderson of Luck--
now . The groom: is; the son. of Mr
and Mrs, Robert Hunter of Concord,
'Rev: R, Laird Stirling performed,
the ceremony ..Soloist was Robert
Hunter of Toronto, brother of the

We' the ratepayers of the Munic-
ipality of .Kinloss.liave'gathered '
here this evening in your•honogr,
having been elected Warden of
Bruce County•for the year of :1966;
A 1phonsus, better known as P. A
Murray, attended Westford, or •
Culross ##.10 Public School .and.
continued his education in Tees
water High School.. While -in
school, he enlisted and later ser-
ved in the first. World War,: Upon,:
'his return to Kinloss township, he
began farming, , and •then married
Gertrude Collison; and raised a
family of ;eleven children. 'Mrr: and
, Mrs, Murray and their family,
many of whom shrill reside in
Kinloss, have been a great, ,assetto
our community.
As a mail-carrier,'.he:has brought
good and bad news to many, people
for .a number of years. This past.
January , you brought 'good news'
and 'a great honour, not only to
yourself, but to all of Kinloss town
'ship, by being the first warden in
fifty-four years.'
And .now we take great pleasure ,
in presenting to .you this giftin
hopes that inyour busy life you
will have time to use it.
Since .in the shadows of every
successful man's life there is a '
helpful., understanding woman, we
would like you, Mrs, 'Murray,' to
accept these flowers.:
