economic well-being of Bruce ` /
County .
Thesetwo; projects will be sub-
mitted to the• Ontario ARDA

In,a 5 page,repo& the Georgian
Bay Development Association.
asked for a' full study•of the,.fruit
growing; industry relative to: the.
•- west -central, portion of the'County.
The Association- pointed ".out in
its report that fruit used to be
grown inthe area before an'.excep-
tionaily heavy frost knocked out
the orchards years ago. ,
The second report dealt with.
the tourist potential of the
scenic caves near Lion's Head.
After an inspection of these caves,
the 'Association felt that, if,pro •
perlydeveloped, these could be
a. great tourist. attraction.
Both reports indicated the lower
economic status of -the County
in comparison to the : rest of the
Province and asked onlyfor cost
benefit studies.,to be done before
recommending. definite action.
The Association has'' already
submitted'.5 A•RDA, projects' to the
various ARDA Conimittees in the,
' Region and has another seven
