Lims Kiln • Lodge.Inverhuron, was "New Understandings. of Responsibility". Thirty-eight delegates. represented Wellington, Waterloo, Grey; Huron and -Bruce Counties. Ten:— Indians from Bruceadded many interesting thoughts to the study and discussion.•. Resource leaders for the school were David Smith,. ;Barrie, group trainer and conference consultant • Victor Morrow. director of special iprojects for Rural Learning and Edith:Storr, Secretary and execu- tive Director; for Rural Learning. The delegates :who were divided into groups, performed exercises in observing and examined,hinder- ing,,and' helping behaviours of. • participants in : discussions. After each exercise the °members evalu- ated other participants in the group Other exercises included an attempt by the.•:younger.members to -deter- mine their own values as well as that of the .older people. The • latter group attempted to solve the sarhevroblem for»themselves and. for the younger members. • • Four basic value schemes,' drawn from the .discussion, were honesty... linked with sincerity, .respect for,. others:, as well as tolerance and; 'understanding, love,, a sense of responsibility anti stewardship and a sense�of self worth . Saturday evening was fun night and; an irnpromptu.prograrn was presented by the folk school • participants. , a play.; musical numbers, solos, folk dancing, games, •square dancing, scavenger hunt• and .a bon -fire .and sing song on the beach brought our many hidden 'talents: This folk school was planned by a .committee appointed by'the •Federatic$n arid various, other 'organizations from the 'six counties •s tn. Zone 2, assisted by tura.. Learning Association and Community Prograrnines branch. These associations sponsored 'resou- rce leaders and assisted with participants fees. . • EVERY 'WEEK ELMER IS 1 GIVING.
