But there has, as yet been nq announcement from the Government' as• to when it wifl introduce the most con troversial items which the 1 -louse has left to consider ,-- Medicare and the Bank'Act. The• most 'far-reaching change;, , that has been suggested is one". which will lift ,the 60/0'interest ceiling which banks are: now per- mitted to charge •on :loans.:' There ..have been many reports of division within the liberal -Party about this measure which do•not yet, appear to. have 'been 'resolved .• The government has alsofuted to :say when ' debate will begin 'on ' its Medicare' proposal.
