missionery work in San Salvador.
Prior to Mrs. Richardson leav-
ing for•San Salvador, The Sent- •
inel carried an article about it.
One of our Detroit subscribers,
we're not sure who', .goes to the
same church in Detroit as.'the
parents of.another rnissionery in
San Salvador.
Our Detroit subscriber knew
that the Detroit parents'•were
going to San Salvador to visit
the missionery member of their
family at Christmas, so gave
them the Sentinel to take along.
When Mrs: Richardson' arrived
in San Salvador, . the group there
said, "we've been reading about
you in your local paper, The
Lucknow Sentinel" . °

useof new tents purchased by the
Lucknow Legionfor,use by local
•Boy. Scouts, Girl Guides and: Cubs.

Audrey Ritchie, 8 -year-old
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
Ritchie of Lucknow, underwent
surgery, in Sick Children's Hospital
in London on Monday of this week.,
„ Audrey has been 'a courage us
youngster having undergone surgery

on numerous occasions in an effort
to enable her to walk. She was .in
hospital for a week this month, re-
turned home and then reentered
hospital last Saturday for the Mons
day surgery. She is reported pro-
gres$ing satisfactorily on Tuesday:
Rev. and Mrs. Gilbert Gomm
celebrated their 65th wedding
anniversary recently: at Maitland '
Manor Nursing,Home in• Goderich
where they have both resided
since •its opening. .
.They were married in Oxford
England on June. 27, 1901. Corning
to Canada in1902.. They settled
in Hamilton. • .
Later Mr. , Gomm enteredthe
ministry and studied at 'Knox
College,. Toronto. ln• 1912 he was
• ordained at Erskine Church, Dun-
gannon, where he served for six
years ,
He als.o served' pastorates. at,
Blackstock, `Pine River, 'Rothsay;' •
Hagersville and Chalmers Church
in Kincardine Township.
•They retired in 'Kincardine but
later moved to Beamsville to the
United Church cottages for retired
ministers at 'A lbright Gardens"
The couple have three children:
