Last Thursday evening our first
Departmental meeting.of the
Lucknow Vacation Bible. School.
was. held. The meeting was
attended by most of our teachers,
and we were. glad that a couple •
•new ones have indicated their
willingness to 'help us.
. A few general remar'ks.were
made, a revisedschedule was.
provided fox the teachers., It
would be too involved to. print
this schedule in our newspaper,.
but perhaps we can post it some
where, .:arid many'of you who ate
interested can have a 'look at. it.
'Word hasbeen• received. from
the publisher that all materials'
. have been mailed, and these
should arrive very. shortly. Many
of our teachers have: already done:
a 'mountain of work, especially
in the visual aid department. '
Flannelgraph sets •have beencor=
pleted,, stencil machines were ,
vigorously used, .and some fine.
results. were evident..
The'daily schedules for each.
department are about the same.
Each morning all pupils will go
to the main ,auditorium, and :from
9.0.0 - 9.10 we worship. The
local ministers. will 'be asked to
lead us in Scripture reading,
prayer.,'and offering. Of course,
we will sing too. After that each
department goes to the class room
for the Bible Story. Then we have
a memory period, followed •by a,
music -period. Recess 'will be held
for each department 20 minut-
•es. Then puptis will listen to the
second story for the day.: or look
at •filmstrips-; whatever teachers
have.for;that day... •This is follow-
ed by a .20 minute workbook.per-'
iod, :;and the'morning is closed
,with a half hour of.craft.work. =-
Dismissal will be around.11.30
11;45; depending on each .grade
or department. •
We are in 'need of some teen•
agers:to supervise the recess periodi
,The first period tarts, at 10.00,
the last one ends at 11,00.. This •
supervision cohsists of leading 'in
games, etc, and. should be some-
thing
of interest to some of our •
