The W.. A, met on Thursday
afternoon at the :home of Mrs, '
George Graham with an attendance,
of 3,8, Mrs, Roy Scfiiieller presid-
ed.. The members prayer partners,
and the Lord's prayer,. wererepeat-
ed Mrs, Arthur Haldenby read
the scripture and Mrs. Gertrude
Walsh gavel the meditation on the
Lords Prayer. The president wel-
corned' the ladies. The word for
the roll call was .'`Rejoice", Mrs:
Midford .Wall read the correspond-
ence, and a letter from Mrs.,,. Clar-
�ence Hedley, inviting the ladies
to their 'spring tea at Kingarf'on
June 29th. An invitation was also
extended to attend the supper and
bazaar at Beivie on June lOth'. A.
subscription was sent for a:copy
of "The Northland" from the Dio-
eese of Moesonee.

Mrs. Ed Schaeffer of Kincardine
was present and gave a most int-
eresting account of a recent trip
through the United States and Mex'
ico, illustrated' with pictures.
She had a .number of souvenirs,
fromthe various places. Mil
Howard Thompson ,expressed thanks
on behalf of the ladies, This was
a devotional meeting and the
following program, was given.

and ". A friend". "Mrs. Walsh "The
23rd psalm' for busy people" Mrs,
Midford Wall•"A Prayer'. Mrs,

conducted by Miss Edna Boyle.
The meeting was closed with
prayer. Miss Edna Boyle gave the
courtesy remarks after ,which a
delicious lurch :was. served by the
hostess'and her helpers,

On Friday Fordyce School under
the supervision of their teacher,
Mrs. George Kennedy, enjoyed .a
bus trip to Detroit, going.by way
of Windsor tunnel: The bus left
the school' at .6. a.m. Placesj
visited were the Ford Museum and;
'Ford factory.: They. had .supper in
Detroit and returned •by thebridge
while it was still day light,' and
the pupils had the pleasure of
seeing some of the ships from.
