A despicable • act' of vandhlism
occurred recently at the property
of the late Brown -Harper. ,and. Miss •
Helen Harper in West Wawanosh -
Township
'The Harper property ••is located : 1
on i1a sideroad, running, south off
the 10th of West Wawanosh, and
is :the only property, "on"the side
road.. The site: of the old` Sourer-
ville mill is across the road front
the Harper. property.
The late Mr. Harper and his`
si ster . Helen had been i'n the habit
of spendingthe winters in Lucknow
recently and- returning to the
farm for the .summer Brown . ent-
ered hospital this winter and •his •
death occurred a few. weeks ago. •
.They were residing in the Gammie
Apartments at the. time. •

the winteror early spring vandals
forced the woodshed door of the;
empty farm home and did consid-

ship Public School.area was held
at the Kinloss .Central. Public
School at Holyrood on Tuesday
night of.last week, and a relative-.

ratepayers. heard the questions
and answers.
The :topic of ;discussion mainly"
centred ; around theproposed am-
algamation plan with the Lucknow;
Public School Board, and the use
of the Lucknow District High
School as asenior public school.
Keith Waldie, public school in-
spector, was present to answer
questionsand, comment on the
matters pertaining

area, and Evan Keith, board chair-
man. and William Black, princi-
pal "of 'Kinloss Central School,
also commented on the proposal
and answered questions on school
affairs.:
The Kinloss Township School
Board are presently layingplans
to bus the pupils from Kinlough
and. Blackhorse• schools to and
from school next Fall. If these
plans are worked out, pupils from
grades 1 to 4.in the two sections
will attend school at Ktnlough
and the grades 5 to 8 Spits will
have their classes at Blackhorse,

the headlines recently by advert-

and Clinton; papers, became a
nationally known personality .over-

him. seeking to become his mate,'
Ernie singled out a Toronto
widow, Mrs. Isabella McCarthy,
and themarriage was performed
last 'week,, , The couple courted by
telephone after a letter and pict- .
ore appealed to Ernie. • .
Mr. Vanderburgh is a widower
of about 'a year and Mrs. McCar:
thy's `fast husband died two years
ago.

.that Ernie Vanderburgh is the son
'of George Vanderburgh and Magg-
ie Cerson who resided at one time
north of Kinlough on'the Clam
Lake :Road. *Ernie has relatives in
